in just a few days the scene has changed... following the heavy downpour in kathmandu valley these past couple of days, most of the farmers have been able to transplant paddy. there are still a couple of khets, those higher up, that still await rice ropain.. but by and large, the sight from kot was one of relief.. fields flooded with water, the bright green patch of paddy seedlings now dispersed over the khets in a light shade of yellow-green.
khetalas in bistachhap in their ropain lineup
harisiddhi fields all flooded up

near lubhu, also all fields have had ropain
looking towards sanagaun and kathmandu and patan behind it
there are still some areas waiting for ropain
the khets by godabari khola which were lucky to have ropain earlier, are deep green already
looking at lubhu and beyond
the cloud cover was low today and the gulf air plane can be seen coming out phutta from the clouds just after sunakothi.. here it is behind harisiddhi
khandabrishti (partial cloudburst) not a good sign of monsoon jhari.. but looks beautiful, nevertheless!
the verdant landscape.. the beauty of monsoon!
